Located in Sumter County near The Villages, Wildwood and the Marion County line, Oxford, FL, is a small, charming community. Residents enjoy picnics in Oxford Park, as well as baseball, basketball and kickball. History buffs enjoy nearby Dade Battlefield Historic State Park, which not only offers tours of the battlefield but every January provides a detailed, historical reenactment of the event. Green Swamp Wildlife Management Area in Sumter County has miles of scenic trails to hike and bike, while a number of local farms provide opportunities for berry picking. Fishing and boating round out the offerings, making Oxford a wonderful place to kick back, relax and enjoy a day in the Florida sunshine.
